Zae W. - Designer, Multidisciplinary Artist
Isaiah Williams is a St. Louis–based multidisciplinary artist and designer whose work explores the intersection of visual art, streetwear, and community engagement. As the founder of Pray For Me, I create projects that center identity, storytelling, and cultural expression. My practice extends beyond design into public installations, workshops, and youth programming, using art as a tool for education, healing, and economic empowerment. I design streetwear at the intersection of culture, storytelling, and functionality, with a deep focus on creating an emotional response through physical form. Every garment begins with intention—whether rooted in a personal narrative, cultural reference, or moment in time—and is translated into wearable design through silhouette, proportion, material choice, and graphic language. Street culture and contemporary art are focal inspirations in my creative process.
My work is heavily driven by storytelling as a design tool. I approach each collection as a narrative, using a range of creative mediums—including graphic design, painting, 2D sketching, airbrushing, and mixed-media exploration —to build worlds that feel lived-in, expressive, and authentic. These disciplines allow me to explore texture, movement, and emotion before refining concepts into cohesive, head-to-toe apparel systems. As a natural creative director and artist, I think beyond individual pieces and focus on how collections communicate visually, culturally, and emotionally as a whole. I value collaboration and iteration, using feedback and cross-disciplinary dialogue to sharpen ideas while maintaining a clear creative vision.
